Open the hood and hold the headlamp in place to avoid damage before starting the process of replacing headlamp assemblies or bulbs as well as cornering and sidemarker and park and turn signal bulbs. The headlamp assembly requires bolt removal before elevation enables the tabs to release from fender positions. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the headlamp assembly before taking it off the vehicle if required. Follow these steps to access the bulbs inside each headlamp: turn the access cover counterclockwise to remove it followed by rotating the socket counterclockwise to remove the housing bulb while disconnecting the electrical connector. To access the park/turn bulb remove the access cover by turning it counter-clockwise followed by removing the bulb from the socket by turning the socket counterclockwise while gently pulling it out. You must begin by inserting the park/turn bulb into the socket before installing the socket into the headlamp housing by turning it clockwise while placing the access cover in its position. Set the headlamp bulb into the electrical system connection then mount the socket into its housing by rotating it clockwise until it clicks into place. After that, install the access cover and reconnect the electrical wire to the headlamp assembly. Position both tabs correctly in their seating position before installing the bolts which must be tightened to 2 N.m (18 lb in). After installing the headlamps close the hood while performing an alignment check and possible realignment if necessary.
