  A: Start by opening the end gate while swinging it and thereafter removing the trim panel attached to the end gate. Start by removing both the rear Body Control Module and the inner panel reinforcement. Disconnect the electrical connector from the end gate handle(s) and remove screws which hold the handle(s) to the license plate pocket before you remove it from the end gate. Start by attaching the handle(s) to the end gate and carefully follow the fastener notice in service precautions. Begin by tightening screws which hold the handle(s) to the license plate pocket at 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) torque. After that, reattach the electrical connector to the end gate handle(s). The procedure finishes when you replace the inner panel reinforcement together with the rear Body Control Module and the trim panel.
