For installation, begin by reinstalling the handles back in the endgate by observing the fastener notice in service precautions. Screw the handles into the license plate pocket making sure that they are tight at 2.5 n.m (22 lb in). Reconnect the electrical connector to the endgate handles, install the inner panel reinforcement and the rear Body Control Module, and finally the trim panel to the endgate should be reinstalled.

Begin by tightening screws which hold the handle(s) to the license plate pocket at 2.5 n.m (22 lb in) torque. After that, reattach the electrical connector to the end gate handle(s). The procedure finishes when you replace the inner panel reinforcement together with the rear Body Control Module and the trim panel.
