Begin by opening the tailgate in drop mode before proceeding with the latch on the tailgate right upper replacement. The tailgate latch bracket assembly bolts need removal before you can remove the latch bracket assembly itself. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector from the latch assembly before using a screwdriver to remove the latch assembly screws from the bracket. After this, pull the latch assembly off the bracket. Assembling the latch requires attachment to the latch bracket with careful attention to the documented Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Use screws to mount the latch assembly onto the bracket at settings of 12 N.m (106 lb in). Your next step is to return the electrical connector to the latch assembly followed by reinstating the latch bracket assembly to the tailgate. Secure the latch assembly bracket to the tailgate using bolts while tightening the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

You must dismantle the liftgate window garnish and trim panel before substituting the liftgate latch. Unclip both components: the handle rod from the bellcrank and the bellcrank rod from the latch assembly. Unscrew the bellcrank screws attached to the latch/lock before removing the bellcrank piece. Remove the electrical connector from its position on the latch assembly plus disconnect the lock cylinder bellcrank rod from its mounting on the latch assembly. Take out the latch/lock assembly by unscrewing it from its mounting position on the liftgate. Position the latch/lock assembly onto the liftgate then install the screws while tightening them to 89 lb in according to the prescribed torque. Join the electrical and lock cylinder bellcrank rod to the latch/lock hardware unit. Place the bellcrank onto the latch/lock assembly structure then thread screws before tightening them to 0.7 newton meter (6 pound inch). Link the button to the handle setup through the bellcrank mechanism while also attaching the door handle rod to the bellcrank. Finish by putting back the trim panel and door window decoration.

The procedure to replace the front side Door Lock Actuator begins with door trim panel removal followed by removing the water deflector and then the Door Latch Assembly. Remove the two screws which attach the actuator to its place on the lock assembly. After lifting and rotating the actuator you will unhook the rubber Bumper from the latch and remove the actuator from its position. Begin by attaching the rubber Bumper to the latch and then rotate the actuator toward the latch so that the rubber Bumper becomes properly installed. The actuator installation requires achieving proper alignment between the first gear tooth of each component before placing the actuator on top of the latch. Drive the two retaining screws of the actuator through the lock cavity before tightening them to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). After placing the lock back into the door position you should install the water deflector and door trim panel one after the other.

Opening the tailgate to drop mode represents the first step for changing the tailgate right upper latch. First remove bolts securing the latch bracket assembly to tailgate then disconnect the assembly. Unplug the electrical connector from the latch assembly and use a screwdriver to remove screws that secure the latch assembly to the latch bracket before removing it from the bracket. Fasten the latch assembly to its bracket with screws while using an 12 N.m (106 lb in) torque. Attach the electrical connector to the latch assembly followed by reinstalling the tailgate's latch bracket assembly. The tailgate receives the latch assembly bracket following bolt installation at 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Installation of a new latch/support cable assembly on the endgate begins with endgate opening and support before removing the endgate cover. Remove both retaining clips from the latch rods before taking out the rods from their retaining points. The support cable needs to be pulled forward away from the endgate striker bolt head before the bolts securing the latch/support cable assembly can be removed from the endgate. Position the latch/support cable assembly to the endgate by orienting the latch rod toward the endgate handle properly during installation. Orbit the bolts onto the latch assembly before tightening them to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The support cable must be fastened to the endgate striker bolt's head before placing latch rods through retaining clips which should attach to the endgate handle. Reinstall the endgate cover while also finishing up by closing the endgate.

Rotate the actuator toward the latch to ensure the rubber bumper is fully engaged.

Reinstall the end gate inner reinforcement panel and the end gate trim panel.

Install the screws retaining the latch assembly to the end gate, tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Reinstall the endgate inner reinforcement panel and the endgate trim panel.

Simultaneously lift and rotate the actuator to disengage the rubber bumper from the latch, then remove the actuator from the latch.

Install the actuator to the top of the latch.

Install the actuator at the top of the latch, then secure it with the 2 screws, tightening them to 0.75 N.m (6 lb in).

Install the 2 screws that retain the actuator to the lock, tightening them to 0.75 N.m (6 lb in).

Remove the screws securing the latch/lock assembly to the liftgate and take the latch/lock assembly out.

Begin by removing the door trim panel.

Remove the latch from the endgate.

Reinstall the lock to the door, followed by the water deflector and the door trim panel.

Install the rubber bumper back onto the latch, ensuring that the first tooth of the gear on the actuator aligns and interlocks properly with the first tooth of the gear on the latch.
