Q: How to replace the fuel filler hose on Chevrolet Traverse?
A: Replace the Fuel Filler Hose by first eliminating smoking and any open flame from the work area and afterward removing the negative Battery Cable. First you must remove the Fuel Tank fill pipe housing to Fuel Tank fill pipe bolts along with the fuel fill cap. Need to drain fuel from the tank before moving to left rear wheel removal and its corresponding tire and wheelhouse panel extraction. To start the fuel hose replacement procedure disconnect the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the bracket bolt and assembly of the Fuel Tank fill pipe from the vehicle. The technician should proceed with unfastening the Fuel Tank fill hose clamp and taking out the Fuel Tank fill hose when required. Check for hose alignment with the Fuel Tank tab before installing the Fuel Tank fill hose while tightening the clamp with 3.3 nm force (29 lb in). The Fuel Tank requires installation of the Fuel Tank fill hose before connecting the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent rear pipe quick connect fitting to the recirculation line located on the Fuel Tank fill pipe. Fasten the Fuel Tank fill hose clamp at the tank with 3.3 nm while installing the Fuel Tank fill pipe bracket bolt to 12 nm torque specification. Lower the car then put back the left rear wheelhouse liner panel along with the left rear wheel and tire. Finish the installation by first mounting the Fuel Tank fill pipe housing to its corresponding bolts before executing a 2 nm (18 lb in) torque on the bolts followed by installation of the fuel fill cap.
