Chevrolet Uplander Ride Height Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Rear Ride Height Sensor on Chevrolet Uplander?
    A:
The first step to replace the Ride Height Sensor involves erasing the ELC/TRAILER fuse from its port. A diagnostic system check must always be performed before installing a new height sensor. After that raise the vehicle and use a support system. Disconnect the ride height sensor electrical connector before removing its link from the ball stud on the sensor arm. The ride height sensor bracket bolts must be removed so the sensor can be taken out of the vehicle. After putting the ride height sensor into position install its height sensor bracket bolts while making them tight to 85 N.m (63 lb ft). The sensor link for the ride height sensor and the ride height sensor electrical connector need to be reconnected after attaching them to the sensor arm ball stud. Lower the vehicle then install the ELC/TRAILER fuse. You should complete a diagnostic system check while consulting Control Module References for instructions about programming and setup.
