GMC C2500 Oil Filter Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the oil filter on GMC C2500?
A: To service and repair the Oil Filter, start by opening the hood, and hoist your vehicle and support it with safety stands. Disconnect the Oil Filter from the engine block, then remove the oil pan Drain Plug in order to drain the engine oil into a suitable container. Apply clean engine oil to the Oil Filter seal and fit the Oil Filter on engine block, tightening to 30 n.m (22 lb ft ). Next, proceed to reinstall the Drain Plug into the engine block and tighten it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Then, get rid of the safety stands and reduce the vehicle. Pour in oil and return the hood.
