How to replace the secondary hood latch on GMC C3500?

The first installation step for replacing the secondary hood latch includes marking its position on the hood followed by removing the latch from the vehicle. First remove the spring installed at the hood followed by dismounting the spring from the reinforcement . First install the spring to the hood before placing the spring within the reinforcement. Fasten the secondary hood latch to the vehicle before securing it onto the hood bolts while tightening the latch to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
