How to replace the headlight assembly or headlight bulb or cornering, sidemarker, park, or turn signal bulb on GMC Canyon?

The first step for bulb replacement is to turn the headlamp switch to OFF and move the ignition switch to LOCK. Use a wrench to disconnect the headlamp from its installation and exterior grille. Twist the daytime running lamp or turn signal bulb 1/4 turn in the opposite direction to take it out from its position. Then remove the electrical connector from the low beam headlamp or high beam headlamp. Connect the electrical connector to the new bulb before pushing and turning the daytime running lamp , high beam headlamp , low beam headlamp , or turn signal bulb a quarter clockwise until it locks. Reinstall the bolts holding the headlamp and secure them at 10 N.m (89 in lb). End with a complete check of headlamp function and put back the front grille. You should treat new halogen bulbs with care by keeping them away from skin and water plus wearing protective eye gear.
