  A: You need to start by removing the grille so you can use a grease pencil together with a marking device to tag the latch position on the radiator support. The Hood Latch requires complete removal by first taking off its support point then unscrewing the bolts connecting it to the radiator support before extracting the cable from the latch. For installation connect the Hood Latch cable to its provider component while positioning the whole assembly at the marked location on the radiator support. Then install the bolts that fix the latch to the radiator support with torque set at 10 n.m (89 lb ft). After this position and secure the Hood Latch support and its retaining bolts with the same torque. Before closing the hood check its operation then examine the latch alignment with the hood striker and make necessary adjustments if needed finally reinstall the grille.
