To replace the Engine Oil Cooler hose/pipe, firearms, separate off the steering linkage shield, and be prepared with a drain pan for the engine oil. Then, unscrew the bolt that is tying the Engine Oil Cooler lines to the remote (frame mounted) oil filter adapter and throw away the seals. Lower your vehicle and remove the air cleaner assembly. Unscrew the Engine Oil Cooler line retaining rings from the quick connectors at the inlet and outlet ends of the radiator Engine Oil Cooler using a bent-tip screwdriver whereby you can rotate and take out any remaining retaining rings that have to be thrown away. Pull the Engine Oil Cooler lines directly out from the connector and remove them from the vehicle and make sure that the drain pan is available for trapping the oil. By removing the bolt that ties the remote engine oil filter lines to the remote engine oil filter adapter and holding the lines to drain all the oil into, throwing the seals away afterwards. The bolt that connects the remote engine oil filter lines to the engine mounted adapter can be removed and thrown away with those seals. Clean all components in a suitable solvent and dry them with compressed air, taking note for damage/obstructions and replacing parts where necessary. Drain the Engine Oil Cooler, lines, and adapters with the same type of engine oil as in the engine. For installation, insert new seals on both ends of each remote engine oil filter line and use the correct fasteners in their respective locations and fasten the bolts with 35 nm (26 lb ft). Install new seals onto the remote adapter at the Engine Oil Cooler line and tighten them with a suitable bolt that is also tightened to 35 nm (26 lb ft). Change old retaining rings with new ones, that must be correctly located at quarter connectors of radiator Engine Oil Cooler inlet and outlet. Install the Engine Oil Cooler lines onto the quick connectors making sure a click is heard or felt before reinstalling the steering linkage shield. Finally, check the engine oil level out and fill it with the correct amount, start the engine so that you can check for leaks.
