    Q: How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve for the Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator on GMC Savana 2500?
    A: The process to replace the auxiliary air conditioning Evaporator thermal expansion valve (TXV) begins by removing the Evaporator core afterward removing the sealer gently from around the txv yet paying attention to where the tube mounts on the core and its correct orientation. Start by unfastening the clip which maintains the capillary tube connection to the Evaporator core. After this disconnect the Evaporator tube connections from the txv then remove the txv from its place on the Evaporator core. To attach the txv you must first mount it to the core according to fastener notice specifications and afterwards connect the Evaporator tube connections to the txv then tighten the connections to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). Reinstall the Evaporator core after installing the clip for keeping the capillary tube on the Evaporator core and packing sealer at the points noted during disassembly.
