The next step involves removing the air conditioning (A/C) Evaporator and blower module along with hose clamp detachment using hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Begin the Heater Core replacement process by first removing Heater Core inlet and outlet heater hoses before proceeding to unscrew the heater assembly. Use the hex key to open the Heater Core access panel before cutting the marked area and completing the removal of retainers along with the Heater Core itself. Set the new Heater Core in its proper position while using retainers that you will tighten with 1.9 n.m (17 lb in) torque. Replace the Heater Core access door along with its screws by tightening them to 1.9 n.m (17 lb in). Combination hose clamp pliers (J 38185) should be used to mount Heater Core inlet and outlet hoses to their respective locations. The a/c Evaporator and blower module installation should be followed by tcm reinstallation in case it was removed.
