First, raise and support the vehicle to replace the Torsion Bar and support assembly. Instead, mount the j 36202 (Torsion Bar Unloading/Loading Tool) to the adjustment arm and the support, apply tension on the adjustment arm until the load is lifted from the adjustment bolt and the adjuster nut, and mark the adjustment bolt and count the number of turns during its decommissioning. Remove the adjustment bolt and the nut of the adjuster, then remove the j 36202 and the Torsion Bar shall unload. Slide the Torsion Bar forward and take away the adjustment arm while supporting, then remove the Torsion Bar support bolts and the Torsion Bar support while noting the position of the torsion bars since the left and right bars are not the same. Next, install torsion bars to the lower
Control Arm and to the Torsion Bar support by tightening the support bolts to a torque of 95 nm (70 lb ft). While supporting with the adjustment arm, slide the Torsion Bar backward till it ventures completely into the adjustment arm, the j 36202 can then be installed to the adjustment arm and the support with an extra tension so as to load the Torsion Bar. Replace the adjustment bolt to the same turns removed along with the adjuster nut. Break the j 36202 removing the Torsion Bar tension by adjusting the bolt load until it is held in the adjustment bolt then let the vehicle drop down. Lastly, measure z height and move the adjustment bolt clockwise to achieve an increase or counterclockwise for a decrease in the z height.
