How to replace the positive battery cable on GMC Sonoma?

The first step in positive Battery Cable replacement requires disconnecting the negative cable while paying attention to the specific caution regarding battery removal. First disconnect the positive Battery Cable from battery terminals then eliminate the bolt that binds positive Battery Cable with underhood fuse block followed by detaching the nut which secures the positive cable at the generator. Raise your vehicle using appropriate equipment and remove the nut which attaches the positive Battery Cable to the Starter along with the positive Battery Cable bolt from the engine to extract the battery positive cable. The first step of installation requires connecting the positive Battery Cable to the vehicle through the engine while tightening it to 6 n.m (80 lb in). Proceed by mounting the Starter nut for the positive Battery Cable and tighten it to 9 n.m (80 lb in) before lowering the vehicle. To install the positive Battery Cable to the generator, apply 17 n.m (13 lb ft) torque to the nut before torquing the nut for the positive cable at the underhood fuse block to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The last step involves attaching the positive Battery Cable to the battery after tightening the positive terminal bolt to 14 n.m (11 lb ft). Also reconnect the negative Battery Cable to the battery.
