Check the valve lifters for any broken or damaged clips, worn Pushrod sockets, scuffed or worn lifter bodies, worn rollers, loose or damaged pins, and plugged oil holes. In the installation process, it is important to apply the lubricant gm p/n 12345501 (Canadian P/N 992704) or equal to the valve lifter rollers, and where the lifters are to be reused them, they should be installed in their original positions. Go ahead and install the valve lifter Pushrod guides tighten the bolts to 16 nm (12 ft. Lbs.) followed by the valve rocker arms and the pushrods and the lower Intake Manifold.
