The replacement process starts by disconnecting the negative cable along with belt removal from the drive system. Start by detaching the generator rear brace and eliminating bolts (1, 3) as well as stud from the generator. Before working on the generator you need to disconnect its electrical connector then move the protective boot covering the bat terminal of the generator output. Remove the generator output bat terminal nut and positive battery lead from the generator before removing it. Install the generator by positioning it next to the engine while connecting the positive battery lead following fastener notice in service precautions. Secure the generator output bat terminal nut by tightening it to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Reattach the protective boot to the generator output bat terminal while linking its electrical connector to the generator. Starting with the generator bracket, install its stud but do it loosely before securing the bracket bolts (1, 3) without final tightening. Then, tighten the generator bolts and stud in the following mandatory torque sequence: the generator bolt needs a torque of 50 n.m (37 lb ft) before torquing the generator stud up to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) followed by the generator rear bracket bolt receiving a 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque. Add the generator rear brace and Drive Belt before reattaching the negative Battery Cable.

The generator replacement process starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable before removing the Drive Belt. Uninstall the generator rear brace before removing bolts (1 and 3) alongside the stud from the generator. Access to the generator output bat terminal requires the protective boot to be set aside while disconnecting the electrical connector. First disconnect the generator output bat terminal nut and extract both the positive battery lead and generator from its position. Position the generator onto the engine space before installing the positive battery lead. Tighten the generator output bat terminal nut to reach 20 n.m (15 lb ft). After maintaining the generator output bat terminal with its protective boot you must connect the electrical connector. First install the generator stud without applying torque to the generator bracket then add tension to bolts (1, 3) while retaining bracket looseness. The generator bolt should be tightened first until it reaches 50 n.m (37 lb ft) while the generator stud must reach 50 n.m (37 lb ft) followed by the generator rear bracket bolt being tightened to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). To finalize installation replace the generator rear brace, add the Drive Belt, and reflect the negative Battery Cable.

The delphi cs130d (K43) 102 ampere generator requires service by following these steps: disconnect the negative Battery Cable and remove the engine compartment cross vehicle brace. First remove the Drive Belt from the generator and then move the coolant recovery reservoir to the side to allow access. First remove bolts (1,2,3) from the generator and then disconnect its electrical connector before placing the protective boot from the generator output bat terminal to the side. Prior to removing the generator remove its positive battery lead while also taking out the generator output bat terminal nut. Installation requires mounting the generator to the engine followed by connecting the positive battery lead and tightening the generator output bat terminal nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Reinstall the protective boot onto the generator output bat terminal before connecting the electrical connector and finally installing the generator bolts (2,3) followed by the generator pivot bolt and the generator rear brace nut. Screw the generator pivot bolt to 50 n.m (37 lb ft), while tightening the generator bolt to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) and the nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Install the coolant recovery reservoir followed by the Drive Belt while reattaching the engine compartment cross brace before reconnection of the negative Battery Cable.

To replace the (K43) 102 ampere generator have to disconnect the negative Battery Cable and remove the engine compartment cross vehicle brace. Then, remove the Drive Belt from the coil of the generator and set the coolant recovery reservoir to one side so that it is accessible. On bolts (1,2,3), from the generator, disconnect the electric connector and lay aside the protective boot on the output bat terminal of the generator. Remove the bat terminal nut from the generator output then unplug the positive battery lead from the generator prior to removing the generator. For installation, install the generator into the engine then attach positive battery lead and the generator output bat terminal nut, tighten the nut to 20n.m (15lb ft). Cover the protective boot on the generator output bat terminal, connect the electrical connector to the boots, and install generator bolts (2,3),then generator pivot bolt and generator rear brace nut. Tighten the generator bolts, ut in the order of: tighten the generator pivot bolt to 50 n.m (37 lb ft), the generator bolt to 50 n.m (37 lb ft), and the nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Finally, put back the engine compartment cross brace, the Drive Belt and the coolant recovery reservoir, reattach the negative cable from the battery.

Reinstall the generator rear brace, rear brace bolt, and rear brace nut, tightening the rear brace bolt and nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) each, then install the drive belt and reconnect the negative battery cable.

Install the positive battery lead and the generator output BAT terminal nut, tightening the nut to 20 N.m (15 lb ft), then install the protective boot on the generator output BAT terminal.
