Implement this procedure by first setting the Ignition Switch to off position before unconnecting the wiring harness connector to protect it from damage. Remove first the air cleaner housing from the engine compartment before moving to the master cylinder mount nuts. Extract the master cylinder by hand while keeping the remaining brake components connected then detach the ABS Control Module harness plug. Remove all dirt buildup from the assembly and then detach the pump motor connector which is located at the bottom of the ABS Control Module. You must handle the solenoid valves and seal to prevent any damage when performing installation or removal. Remove the six ABS Control Module to bpmv screws before you can gently release the ABS Control Module from the bpmv. Begin installation with alcohol cleaning of the bpmv surface followed by ABS Control Module attachment that must only use new wave springs and screws provided. You must use an x pattern to tighten new wave springs and screws with 5 nm (44 inch lbs.) torque values where the top four screws have priority over the bottom two screws. The master cylinder must be reattached to the Brake Booster through the master cylinder mount nuts where torque should be set at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Connect the pump motor connector with its locking tab compressed down to the bottom ABS Control Module and ABS Control Module harness connector. The final step is to fit the air cleaner housing followed by switching the ignition to run status without engine start then conducting the diagnostic system check - abs.

Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position without starting the engine.

Remove the air cleaner housing.
