    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Throttle Cable on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for the Throttle Cable begins by taking off the left closeout/insulator panel. To install the replacement of the Throttle Cable start by disconnecting it from the accelerator pedal lever. Then use the Throttle Cable cover tangs to compress and feed the cable through the bulkhead. The Throttle Cable requires removal in two locations. Start by removing it first from its retaining clip and then from the right position situated on top of the washer bottle. Separate the Throttle Cable segment first from the Throttle Body lever and then from the Throttle Cable bracket. The installation requires the Throttle Cable to pass through the bulkhead after which install the snap retainer. Guide the Throttle Cable into the slot of the accelerator pedal lever and validate when the cable fits properly with the accelerator pedal lever. The dash panel insulator must be attached to the Throttle Cable followed by pushing the retainer along the cable lever end fitting until it snaps onto the cable's dash fitting flange while resting flush against the dash mat. Open the throttle from wide open to full closed without cable resistance and operate the accelerator pedal to confirm full and complete throttle range by positioning the cable hook within the Throttle Body lever. Reinstall the Throttle Cable to the retaining clip while reattaching the left closeout/insulator panel after securing the Throttle Cable to the Throttle Cable bracket which fits to the right slot on top of the washer bottle.

    Q:
How to replace the throttle cable on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start the Throttle Cable replacement by taking out the left closeout/insulator panel. Pull the Throttle Cable from the accelerator pedal lever before you press and compress the Throttle Cable cover tangs until the cable passes through the bulkhead. The Throttle Cable removal process begins with extracting it from the retaining clip and from the right slot located above the washer bottle. Detach the Throttle Cable endpoints by removing it from the Throttle Body lever and the Throttle Cable bracket. The installation for the Throttle Cable requires passing it through the bulkhead but flexible components must stay at least 50 mm (2 inches) distant from moving parts or should have secure attachments. The snap retainer should enter the bulkhead followed by the slot on the accelerator pedal lever so the cable end fitting forms a tight connection against the accelerator pedal lever. Push the dash panel insulator retainer onto the cable lever end fitting while aligning its flange area to the cable dash fitting until the retainer snaps into place on the dash mat. Operate the pedal to verify that the throttle moves from minimum to maximum positions while the mechanism functions without restricting its movement. The Throttle Body lever needs to receive the Throttle Cable installation with the cable positioned correctly under its hook. New steps include connecting the Throttle Cable first to the Throttle Cable bracket and then to the right slot on top of the washer bottle before applying the retaining clip.
