    Q:
How to disconnect and connect the negative battery cable on Buick Enclave? Posted by Customer
    A:
To unplug and plug the negative battery cable in, remove the floor mat from between the front and middle row passenger seat if it is available, and list all radio station presets for the customer. Make sure all lamps are off together with accessories, the ignition switch is in the OFF position and the key is out. Inside the car, pry off one screw that holds the cover for the battery and the cover; then unfasten the negative cable's terminal nut and pull off the negative battery from the negative battery terminal relocating it to somewhere else away from the terminal. For installation, locate and install the negative battery cable to the battery negative terminal; then tighten the nut of the negative battery cable terminal to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Install the battery cover and screw; tighten the screw to 1.6 Nm (14 lb in); reset all of the customer's radio station presets; and install the middle row floor mat if loaded.

    Q:
How to replace the positive battery cable on Chevrolet Traverse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step in replacing a positive Battery Cable is to eliminate power through the negative Battery Cable. First you need to discard the fuel injector sight shield and thereafter empty the junction block accessory wiring cover nut. Remove the positive Battery Cable terminal both from its stud and clip from its place on the multiuse relay bracket. The positive Battery Cable grommet should be pushed through the dash panel then you should remove the right side instrument panel insulator panel and the passenger side carpet. The passenger dash panel sound barrier needs to be lifted while you reach the positive Battery Cable to remove its clip from the dash panel stud then extract the panel grommet. Unplug the positive Battery Cable from both wiring harness retainers as well as from the right front sill plate. Separate the body wiring harness from its clips holding the positive Battery Cable then remove all necessary electrical connectors from the wiring harness and pull out the clips from the floor panel studs. You should open the positive Battery Cable cover then adjust the terminal nut before taking out the cable from under the rear carpet area. The new positive Battery Cable should travel beneath the rear carpet before being positioned from the vehicle Floor Pan. Secure the positive Battery Cable clips on the floor panel studs before mounting the terminal to the battery positive terminal then fasten the nut to 9 nm (80 lb in). Complete the positive Battery Cable cover closure then reattach all body wiring harness electrical connectors before installing the harness onto positive Battery Cable clips. Secure the positive Battery Cable to its right front sill plate retention points while routing its grommet through the dash panel before fixing it to body wiring harness retaining points. After positioning the passenger region of the dash panel sound barrier back to its original place you should install the passenger side carpet and right side instrument panel insulator panel. The process begins with assuring the positive Battery Cable grommet passes through the dash panel before connecting the positive cable terminal to its junction block stud. After bolting the junction block with 22 nm torque (16 lb ft) and covering it, you can secure the positive cable clip to the multiuse relay bracket. Finally, reinstall the fuel injector sight shield and reattach the negative cable terminal.
