    Q:
How to replace the A/C Condenser on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Refrigerant recovery should be your first task before you raise and secure the vehicle for condenser replacement. Start by taking out the front air deflector retainers before moving to front air deflector bolts and finally the front air deflector itself. Begin by removing lower mounting bolts along with condenser upper bracket bolts and A/C Compressor and A/C Condenser hose bolt. Connectors for the A/C Compressor and A/C Condenser hose must come off the condenser along with an o-ring removal. The A/C Condenser out tube bolt requires removal in order to disconnect the A/C Condenser out tube . Both elements will get discarded due to the replacement o-ring. Then, remove the condenser . When using a new condenser always apply the noted pag oil amount directly into the unit. Place the condenser inside the vehicle alongside a fresh o-ring fitted to the condenser tube. Secure the A/C Condenser out tube to the condenser with a/a condenser out tube bolt tightened at 9 nm (80 lb in). Insert and secure a new o-ring to the discharge line then connect the A/C Compressor and A/C Condenser hose to the condenser while tightening the A/C Compressor and A/C Condenser hose bolt to 9 nm (80 lb in). Tighten condenser lower mounting bolts to 5.4 nm (48 lb in) and upper bracket bolts to an identical torque value. Secure the front air deflector in place with front air deflector bolts and retainers. Put the vehicle into its natural position while you install power steering cooler mounting bolts. Evacuate then recharge the a/c system while using the j 39400-a - halogen leak detector for fitting leak tests.
