    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Washer Reservoir on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
Open the hood to uninstall the Washer Reservoir by disconnecting it from the windshield washer hose. Take out the washer fluid from the reservoir before removing the front fender liner. Unplug the washer level sensor and Washer Pump connections first before removing Washer Reservoir nuts to take it out of the left frame rail. Move the Washer Pump and seal across with the washer level sensor and seal. Also transfer the reservoir cap and its hose. Secure the new Washer Reservoir onto the frame rail left side and tighten all nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reattach the washer electrodes and sensor at the same time you put back the front fender cover. Put washer fluid into the reservoir and join the reservoir tubing to the washer hose. Check the door seals as the last part of the process.

    Q:
How to replace the washer reservoir on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must begin by opening the hood and taking off the Washer Reservoir filler tube then the front wheelhouse panel splash shield to change the Washer Reservoir. Take the Washer Pump hose off the Washer Pump unit before unclipping it from the Washer Reservoir. Transfer washer solvent to safe receptacle before removing the connectors for washer level indicator and Washer Pump electric circuits. Use a socket wrench to remove the Washer Reservoir nuts then take out the reservoir from the left frame rail. Move both the windshield Washer Pump unit and its seal (Windshield Washer Pump Assembly) and the washer level indicator plus its seal (Washer Level Indicator) from the old parts container. Install the new Washer Reservoir by fitting the windshield Washer Pump assembly and seal plus the washer level indicator and seal. Fit the reservoir onto left frame rail studs and bolt Washer Reservoir nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Return the Washer Pump electrical connections to their places followed by reattaching the washer level indicator electrical connector. Finally connect the Washer Pump hose to the pump spout and insert it into the Washer Reservoir. Place back the front wheelhouse panel splash shield as you lower the car and put on its Washer Reservoir filler tube. Put fresh windshield washer solvent into the reservoir while testing the washer system's performance before securing the hood.
