2006 Chevrolet Malibu Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield washer reservoir on 2006 Chevrolet Malibu?
A: Open the hood and separate the solvent container hose from the windshield washer hose to start changing the Washer Reservoir. Unplug the washer solvent from its storage tank and take off the front fender panel. Unplug the washer level sensor electrical connector and the Washer Pump electrical connector before you remove the washer solvent container nuts. Move the washer solvent container off the left frame rail and carry across the Washer Pump assembly with seals, washer level sensor with its seal, solvent container cap, and solvent container hose from the old compartment. Connect the Washer Pump assembly with sealing along with washer level sensor and seal to the new solvent tank while attaching the solvent container cap and hose. Place the new container against the left frame rail and torqued washer solvent container nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Attach the Washer Pump and sensor electric wires then put back the front fender shield. After adding washer fluid into the solvent tank connect the washer tube to it. You should now examine the washer operation by closing the hood.
