    Q:
How to replace the Auxiliary Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler on Chevrolet Monte Carlo? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for auxiliary automatic transmission (AT) oil cooler replacement requires adequate space clearance around the transaxle oil cooler pipes and hoses so they don't get damaged. Start by removing the upper radiator air baffle as well as the auxiliary transaxle oil cooler bolt that is screwed into the upper radiator support. Support the vehicle at a raised position before removing all auxiliary transaxle oil cooler bolts from the lower radiator support. Start the procedure by detaching the inlet and outlet auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler lines from their support clips before lowering the auxiliary transaxle oil cooler under the front Bumper. Begin by disconnecting inlet and outlet auxiliary transaxle oil cooler hoses that are attached to the cooler and then extract the cooler unit. Begin the installation by attaching inlet and outlet auxiliary transaxle oil cooler hoses to the assembly and placing the cooler back onto the vehicle. Reinstall the inlet and outlet auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler lines to the support clips while following the fastener notice in service precautions. Secure the auxiliary transaxle oil cooler bolts to the lower radiator support, tightening them to 10 nm (97 inch lbs.), then lower the vehicle. Install the auxiliary transaxle oil cooler bolt to the upper radiator support, tightening it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.)install the upper radiator air baffle before you adjust fluid levels.
