    Q:
How to replace the Clutch Master Cylinder on Chevrolet S10? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to start by taking off the master cylinder rod from the clutch pedal before you can unlock the Clutch Master Cylinder using a 45-degree clockwise turn. First disconnect the wiring harness from the Clutch Master Cylinder start switch before you detach the clips that secure the clutch line to both dash panel and heat shield. Remove the Clutch Master Cylinder from the dash panel then raise your vehicle while suspending it in place. Work with clutch line release tool (J 42371) to detach the clutch line from concentric slave cylinder before bringing down the vehicle to uninstall the Clutch Master Cylinder. Start by installing the new Clutch Master Cylinder before you raise the vehicle again. Before lowering your vehicle, connect the clutch line to the concentric slave cylinder by pulling back the connector sleeve. Secure the clutch line to the dash panel and heat shield using clips. Position the Clutch Master Cylinder into its cowl panel mounting hole then turn the cylinder by 45 degrees counterclockwise to secure it. Completion of the clutch project includes harnessing the start switch to the Clutch Master Cylinder alongside attaching the master cylinder rod to the pedal and performing a clutch bleed procedure.
