Master Cylinder

First disconnect the Brake Master Cylinder by detaching the Brake Fluid Level Sensor electrical connector and brake pipes before sealing each brake pipe fitting end with a rubber cap or plug for fluid containment. Start by taking out the air inlet panel support bracket push nut from the master cylinder mounting stud and subsequently pull the bracket to the side to rotate it out of position. First remove the 2 master cylinder mounting nuts then take out the master cylinder itself. When using the reservoir again remove it from the master cylinder assembly. To assemble the system first attach any detached Brake Master Cylinder reservoir to the master cylinder after which perform master cylinder bench bleeding. Place the master cylinder on the vacuum Brake Booster before tightening the Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts to 25 nm torque (18 lb ft). Securely place the air inlet panel support bracket onto the mounting stud and tighten the push nut for installation. After removing the plugs from brake pipes install these pipes onto the master cylinder while maintaining fits with a torque of 38 nm (28 lb ft). As your last step connect the electrical connector to the Brake Fluid Level Sensor and perform a hydraulic brake system bleed.

Reconnect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level sensor and bleed the hydraulic brake system.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid level sensor and the brake pipes from the master cylinder, ensuring to plug the open brake pipe fitting ends with a rubber cap or plug to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

Install the master cylinder to the vacuum brake booster and tighten the 2 brake master cylinder mounting nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid level sensor and the brake pipes from the master cylinder, ensuring to install a rubber cap or plug on the exposed brake pipe fitting ends to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

To a depth of about 25 mm (1 inch) several times.

Plug the open brake pipe fitting ends, remove the air inlet panel support bracket push nut from the master cylinder mounting stud, and carefully pull and rotate the air inlet panel support bracket out of the way.

Assemble the lubricated new primary seal and retainer, along with the new secondary seal onto the secondary piston.

Attach the brake master cylinder reservoir to the master cylinder if it was removed, bench bleed the master cylinder, and install it to the vacuum brake booster, securing it with the two mounting nuts tightened to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Remove the plugs from the brake pipes, connect them to the master cylinder, and tighten the fittings to 38 N.m (28 lb ft).

Bench bleed it before installation.

Install suitable fittings that match the required flare seat and allow for hose attachment.
