Control Module

Before starting the brake pressure modulator valve replacement begin by turning off the Ignition Switch to avoid equipment damage. You should lift the vehicle while supporting it and afterward take out the right front wheelhouse liner. After removing fasteners which attach the washer solvent container you can move it to a safe position to expose the ABS Control Module. Start by cleaning all surfaces near the ABS Control Module while you push the retaining tab to expose the locking lever followed by its forward rotation. Squeeze the retaining tab on the ABS Control Module electric connector to unlock it forward. Remove the ABS Control Module screws and dismantle the ABS Control Module from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). Install the ABS Control Module to the bpmv after cleaning its sealing surfaces and fasten it with ABS Control Module screws following the tightness sequence of 1-4 to a torque of 5 nm (44 lb in). Reconnect the ABS Control Module electrical connector after which move the washer solvent container into position and fasten all components. Put back the right front wheelhouse liner before lowering the vehicle. Programming of the new ABS Control Module must be done if one is being installed. The diagnostic system check - vehicle should be the last step in completing this procedure.

Install the EBCM, then connect the primary BPMV inlet brake pipe fitting and the secondary BPMV inlet brake pipe fitting, tightening both to 32 Nm (24 lb ft).
