The process to replace the left side Exhaust Manifold starts with removing the engine sight shield followed by taking out the left bank coil assembly while also removing left bank spark plugs. The vehicle needs elevation before you remove the left Catalytic Converter along with its separation. First disconnect the center Steering Shaft from its position on the lower Steering Shaft before placing them out of the way for manifold removal space. Use the vehicle hoist to lower the height and you can safely remove the Exhaust Manifold bolts before taking out the Exhaust Manifold and bolts with the gasket requiring disposal. The heat shield should be removed from the manifold if cleaning and examination of the Exhaust Manifold become necessary. The installation process requires attaching the Exhaust Manifold heat shield while securing its bolts at 10 nm (89 lb in). Fit the Exhaust Manifold and fresh gasket onto the manifold and continue by lowering the vehicle to attach the Exhaust Manifold bolts. Begin engine sight shield installation after connecting the center Steering Shaft to the lower Steering Shaft then installing the left Catalytic Converter with its seal and performing a second lowering of the vehicle to finish the procedure with left bank spark plugs and the left bank coil assembly.

Remove the heat shield from the manifold and clean and inspect the exhaust manifold.
