    Q:
How to Properly Maintain and Fix a Muffler on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Supporting the Catalytic Converter assembly marks the first step in servicing or repairing the Muffler. Cut the intermediate pipe at the Muffler position using the j 29800 cut-off tool (J 29800) before removing the Muffler hanger and Muffler parts. Align the components to install the Muffler hanger. Joint the Catalytic Converter assembly to the Muffler but make sure to keep enough space between the Muffler and Catalytic Converter assembly. Apply the u bolt clamp before securing its clamp nuts at 40 nm (30 foot lbs.).

    Q:
How to service and repair the muffler on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Muffler repair process starts with elevating and stabilizing the vehicle before continuing. Cut the Exhaust Pipe at its closest point near the welded area on the Muffler by using proper cutting tools. First disconnect the nut holding the rear Exhaust Hanger and rear Exhaust Hanger bracket together before removing the Muffler from the vehicle. Add a suitable lubricant on the tail pipe hanger rod and pull outward on the rear Exhaust Hanger to remove it from the rod. The Muffler installation process requires users to connect the Exhaust Pipe with the Muffler before attaching the Muffler clamp but avoiding clamping pressure for the moment. First apply a soapy lubricant to the tail pipe hanger rod and rear Exhaust Hanger's inner diameter before pushing the rear Exhaust Hanger onto the tail pipe hanger rod while guiding it to its correct position on the rear Exhaust Hanger bracket. We must install and tighten the rear Exhaust Hanger bracket's securing nut to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Use the vehicle alignment to position the Muffler correctly while making sure the rear tail pipe opening faces level before tightening the clamp nuts to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
