    Q:
How to replace the Exhaust Pipe on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to change the exhaust crossover pipe is to securely support your vehicle through lifting. Disconnect the Catalytic Converter hanger bolts and separate the hanger from its position. Turn the exhaust manifold pipe nuts to loose position on left and right sides before taking out the nuts at both sides that secure the Catalytic Converter. The crossover pipe needs users to slide forward till it disconnects from its left and right Catalytic Converter studs and can be extracted from the exhaust Muffler. The crossover pipe needs to be inserted into the exhaust Muffler where it should sit over left and right Catalytic Converter studs before realigning everything by sliding forward. Secure the right-side Catalytic Converter nuts at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.), then proceed to the left side and tighten them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The exhaust manifold pipe nuts on the right and left sides should be fastened with 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs.) torque before moving onto the left side torque application at the same value. Lower the vehicle afterward while tightening the Catalytic Converter hanger bolts and its components to 41 nm (30 ft. Lbs.).
