    The replacement of passenger compartment air filter housing starts with removing push pins from the rear of the rh air inlet panel followed by raising the hood. Start by removing all push pins from the top and forward edge of the rh air inlet panel then apply the same steps to both panel screws before taking off the rh air inlet panel. Begin by removing the lh air inlet panel before extracting both filter housing nuts and the housing part from the vehicle. Check the foam seal because damage requires replacement by kent industries adhesive back foam tape p/n 46485 (or a compatible alternative). Install the filter housing in its vehicle position while using fresh seal nuts that will combat leaks before tightening with 9 nm torque values. The installation of the lh air inlet panel should be finished with the rh air inlet panel and secured with push pins at their top and forward edge positions along with the top screw. The last step involves hood closure followed by push pin installation at the rear section of the rh air inlet panel.

Pushing the release tab located at the filter housing inboard edge frees up the filter for removal before pulling the filter from the vehicle. Start by sliding the new filter inside the vehicle before restoring both the RH air inlet panel and securing it through its RH air inlet panel screw. Close the hood then reinsert the push pins into the top and forward edge of the RH air inlet panel before you finish by installing the push pins at the rear of the RH air inlet panel.
