    How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on Chevrolet Equinox? Posted by Customer

    To replace the air temperature actuator; you will have to remove the instrument panel compartment, and disconnect the electrical connector from the air temperature actuator. Now, unscrew the air temperature actuator screws (N/A) from the hvac module and take out the actuator. For installation, align the air temperature actuator with the door shaft and rotate it in the desired position, place the actuator screws (N/A) to the hvac module and tightening to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in). Plug in the electrical connector to the actuator for air temperature and calibrate the actuators during a push of three times a/c and recirc button on the HVAC Control Module that should be carried out at the same time within two seconds of the first push. The a/c and recirc buttons led will flash during calibration, and it will take 10 to 30 seconds depending on the battery voltage, and stop flashing after completion. It is necessary to calibrate the HVAC Control Module every time an actuator is replaced or the module needs to be changed if the air distribution is to be performed correctly. Lastly, cycle the ignition to confirm that the instrument is working and replace the instrument panel compartment.
