  • Q: How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on 2008 Chevrolet Equinox?
    A: In order to replace the air temperature actuator, to begin with, remove the instrument panel compartment & then to unclip & remove the electrical connector from the air temperature actuator. Then, unscrew the air temperature actuator from the hvac module (plucked out). In installation, the air temperature actuator should be aligned with the door shaft and rotated into place and install the air temperature actuator screws to the hvac module and tighten them to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in). Plug the electrical connector into the air temperature actuator. Proper air distribution requires that the HVAC Control Module must be calibrated whenever any actuator is replaced or HVAC Control Module is changed. After calibration, cycle the ignition and confirm the correct operation before reinstalling the instrument panel compartment.
