The procedure for front Door Lock replacement starts with removing both the front door trim panel and the front door water deflector. The outside handles utilize adjustable outside handle lock rods yet the installation process needs every lock rod to be completely free from the outside handle before operation. Open the outside handle rod to break the lock clip on the Door Lock while keeping all outside handle rods separate from the lock. Test the outside Door Handle after removing its lock cylinder rod because replacement will be necessary when you find any mismatch between components. After unscrewing the Door Lock you should extract the Door Lock and cable through the access hole in the door inner panel by disconnecting the electrical connector from the lock. Set the lock and cable into position in the door before reattaching the electric connector and threading them through the access hole. Fasten the Door Lock screws which need to be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in) before connecting the lock cylinder rod to the outside Door Handle. Shift the outer handle rod through the door clip until it is secured by closing the clip around the rod. The procedure ends by putting back the inside Door Handle while conducting a check for door functionality and finally attaching the front door water deflector and front door trim panel.

Attach the door lock and cable to the lock, reconnect the electrical connector by pushing in on the tab, and insert the lock and cable/rod through the access hole in the inner door panel.
