    Q:
How to replace the fuel level sensor on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for the fuel level sensor begins with removing the fuel sender assembly followed by disconnecting the fuel pump electrical connector. Start by taking out the retaining clip from the fuel level sensor electrical connector and then disconnect the connector from underneath the fuel sender cover . The next step involves removing the fuel level sensor retaining clip before grasping the locking tangs to withdraw the fuel level sensor out from the modular fuel sender. The new fuel level sensor needs to be placed into the modular fuel sender before securing it using a retaining clip for installation. Reattach the fuel level sensor electrical connector while installing its retention clip before restoring fuel pump electrical connector activation and returning the fuel sender assembly to its place. Before finishing up inspect the system for fuel leaks by activating the ignition for 2 seconds followed by a 10-second period when the ignition is off and another 2 seconds when it is turned on. Check for any signs of leaks at the moment.
