The generator replacement (RPOs L61/LE5) begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and removing the Drive Belt before proceeding to remove the air cleaner outlet duct. After disconnecting the generator's harness electrical connector users should move the starter solenoid wire boot and remove the generator terminal nut together with the starter solenoid wire terminal from the generator. Screwdrivers enable the removal of generator bolts allowing you to discard the generator. Install the generator by placing it on the engine block then fasten generator bolts using 22 nm (16 ft. Lbs.) torque. After connecting the starter solenoid wire terminal to the generator you must tighten the generator terminal nut to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct followed by the Drive Belt then connect the electrical engine harness connector to the generator while reinstalling the starter solenoid wire boot. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable to complete the restoration.

Start by turning off the negative Battery Cable and removing both the Drive Belt together with the air cleaner outlet resonator. The installer begins the generator removal process by disconnecting generator connectors after they remove generator bolts. Position the generator onto the engine before you install generator bolts to reach 22 n.m torque (16 lb ft). Attach the positive battery harness to the generator battery terminal while tightening the terminal nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Connect the generator's harness terminals before you install the air cleaner outlet resonator and Drive Belt. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable as the last installation step.

First disconnect the negative terminal and then remove the ventilation module and Drive Belt respectively. The technician should lower the vehicle and remove the generator terminal nut while also removing the engine harness terminal from the generator. After removing the generator upper bolts you should raise and support the vehicle. First remove the generator lower bolt and disconnect the electrical connector only after cutting and repositioning the coolant heater cords if your vehicle has this component. The installation begins with generator positioning then executing generator electrical connector connection. Secure the coolant heater cord by using new tie straps when possible. Lower your vehicle then insert the generator upper bolts until they become snug before securing all generator bolts to 22 n.m (16 lb ft). Screw the engine harness terminal to the generator before tightening the generator terminal nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). When complete you must install the Drive Belt together with the air cleaner assembly before reattaching the negative Battery Cable.

Start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and then remove the Drive Belt before replacing the Alternator. After disconnecting the generator electrical connector remove the air cleaner assembly before relocating the engine harness boot whenever required. Start by taking off the generator terminal nut and engine harness terminal attached to the generator and finish by removing generator bolts before extracting the generator. Open the space by placing the generator against the engine block then bolt it into position while tightening the bolts to 22 n.m (16 lb ft). After connecting the engine harness terminal to the generator mount the generator terminal nut with a torque setting of 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Place the engine harness boot into its correct position and hook up the generator electrical connector. Reshuffling the air cleaner assembly, install the Drive Belt while also reattaching the negative Battery Cable.

Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the generator.
