  A: Replace the generator by starting with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable and removing the Drive Belt afterwards you remove the air cleaner outlet duct. First detach the engine harness electrical connector from the generator before moving the starter solenoid wire boot into position and removing the generator terminal nut and starter solenoid wire terminal from the generator. Remove the generator bolts before extracting the generator. The generator must be placed on the engine block while installing bolts that need a torque of 22 n.m (16 lb ft). Secure the starter solenoid wire terminal to the generator before mounting the generator terminal nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). First install the air cleaner outlet duct followed by attaching the Drive Belt after you reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the generator and replace the starter solenoid wire boot. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable as the final step.
