Dash Control Unit

You must start by taking off the center console trim bezel and the radio unit. Use force to pull out the heater control unit knobs before unscrewing and lifting off the right-side lower cover of the instrument panel cluster. Pull the heater face plate apart from the unit and detach the illumination lamp socket. Unplug the temperature control wires as well as mode control and fresh/recirculation control wires from both heater and blower cases. Take out the 2 screws from the heater control unit while disconnecting its electrical connection to the blower switch. Pull the unit from its position inside the instrument panel (IP) through the radio opening by disconnecting the blower switch from the heater control unit first. Hook the blower switch to the heater control unit then reconnect the control unit into the ip while screwing the unit using the two screws. Reconnect all electrical wires namely blower motor electrical connector, temperature control cable, mode control cable, and fresh/recirc control cable. Fix the illumination lamp socket to the heater face plate before putting back the bottom panel of the Instrument Cluster. Secure it with one screw. Secure the heater control unit lever knobs back into place before putting on the radio and center console trim parts. End by properly aligning the temperature, mode, and fresh/recirc control wires.

Start the control assembly replacement process by first removing the radio coupled with the center console trim bezel. Seize the knobs from the heater control unit lever before extracting them. First remove the screw then extract the right-side instrument panel cluster lower cover before prying off the face plate and disconnecting the illumination lamp socket. Take out the air conditioning (A/C) switch then disconnect these cables from the heater case and blower case starting with the temperature control cable and continuing with the mode control cable and fresh/recirc control cable. Three components form the assembly: temperature control cable and mode control cable and fresh/recirc control cable. First empty the 2 screws holding the heater control unit before disconnecting the blower switch electrical connector. Move the heater control unit from its panel location through the radio opening after you detach the switch or leave it on the control unit. Begin heater installation by mounting the blower switch onto the heater control unit before attaching the heater control unit to the instrument panel. Reattach the blower motor electrical connector after using the 2 screws to secure the heater control unit . Position the temperature control cable first and add the mode control cable and fresh/recirc control cable and then install the A/C Switch. Mount the illumination lamp socket back to the heater face plate before fastening the instrument panel cluster lower cover with its screw. Install the heater control unit lever knobs together with the radio and center console trim bezel before adjusting both temperature mode cable and fresh/recirc control cable positions.
