    As the first step to change the suction hose start by recovering the refrigerant. The a/c quick joint tool (J 45689) allows suction hose removal from the Evaporator when users insert the probe end into both plastic quick joint openings while keeping the tool body parallel to the a/c line. You should start by removing the suction hose retaining screw from its clamp position before separating the liquid line from the a/c suction line bracket and taking away the air cleaner assembly. Start by removing the compressor retaining bolt then unfasten the suction hose from the Evaporator before extracting the part from the car. Before fitting the new suction hose users must remove its o-ring seals then apply refrigerant oil before proceeding with the installation process. To complete the connection of the suction hose to the Evaporator use the clamp to envelop the hose while squeezing it to achieve a secure click. Use slight force to check the clamp security on the suction line before inserting the liquid line into its bracket and securing the screw with a torque of 1 n.m (9 lb in). Fasten the suction hose to the compressor while using the retaining bolt until it reaches 9.8 n.m of torque (87 lb in of torque). To complete the installation process reinstall the air cleaner assembly and follow up with an evacuation of refrigerant system and recharge procedure and a mandatory leak test on the fittings through halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
