The first step to replace the Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube requires the recovery of the A/C system. Next raise the vehicle while providing support. The procedure to replace the Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Front Tube starts by disconnecting the auxiliary front discharge line from the front discharge line quick connect fitting then separating it from the front discharge line and relaxing its connection between the auxiliary front discharge line and the auxiliary rear discharge line until you can remove it from the auxiliary rear discharge line. Detach the auxiliary front discharge line from its body retaining points before removing it from the vehicle. Toss away the O-rings present in the auxiliary front discharge line. Install new O-rings onto the auxiliary front discharge line before you place the line back into the vehicle and link it to the body retainers as well as the auxiliary rear discharge line. Fasten the auxiliary front discharge line fitting until it reaches 9 Nm (80 lb in) torque. The front discharge line quick connect fitting accepts the auxiliary front discharge line by hooking it up with the front discharge line. The final steps include vehicle lowering followed by the evacuation and recharging process of the A/C system and then carrying out leakage tests on fittings with J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector.

Discard the O-ring seals and coat the new O-rings with refrigerant oil before installing the new suction hose.

Install new O-rings to the condenser tube.

Reinstall the air cleaner assembly, raise the vehicle again, and add a new O-ring to the condenser tube.

Connect the suction hose to the compressor, install the retaining bolt, and tighten it to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).

Use the A/C Quick Joint Tool (J 45689) to disconnect the suction hose by pressing the probe end into the two small openings in the plastic quick joint, ensuring the body of the tool is parallel to the A/C line.

Reinstall the front air deflector, lower the vehicle, and evacuate and recharge the A/C system, ensuring to leak test the fittings using the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).

Discard the O-ring seals.

Connect the liquid line at the condenser and install the retaining clip screw, tightening it to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).

Evacuate and recharge the A/C system, and use J 39400-A - Halogen Leak Detector to leak test the fittings of the component.

Loosen the fitting connecting it to the auxiliary rear suction line.

Reinstall the engine exhaust, lower the vehicle, and recharge the A/C system.

Tighten its bolt to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).

Remove the engine exhaust.

Disconnect the suction hose quick connect fitting at the bulkhead and the suction hose from the evaporator core.

Install new O-rings onto the auxiliary rear liquid line.

Loosen the fitting connecting the auxiliary front discharge line to the auxiliary rear discharge line and disconnect it from the auxiliary rear discharge line.

Reinstall the condenser tube, connect the A/C pressure sensor electrical connector, and attach the condenser tube to the liquid line, condenser, and fan shroud retainer clip.

Place new O-rings into the suction hose.

Attach the A/C quick connect fitting to the A/C refrigerant component, inspecting the locking tab for any damage or wear; replace the fitting if necessary.

Remove the air cleaner assembly and the A/C quick connect fitting at the liquid line.

Remove the suction hose bolt at the compressor, lower the vehicle, and take out the suction hose retaining screw from the clamp or bracket.
