You must recover the refrigerant before removing the air cleaner assembly for changing the condenser tube. Begin by removing the front air deflector when you have disconnected the a/c quick connect fitting at the liquid line and raised and supported the vehicle. Proceed by removing the condenser tube to condenser retaining bolt after which you disconnect the condenser tube from the fan shroud retainer clip before separating it from the condenser and liquid line. Disconnection of the a/c pressure sensor electrical connector is necessary before taking out the condenser tube and a/c pressure sensor. The replacement process begins with discardment of old o-rings before installing new ones on the condenser tube and then installing new ones on the a/c pressure sensor . Installation of the condenser tube involves connecting the a/c pressure sensor electrical connector while you attach the condenser tube between liquid line, condenser and fan shroud retainer clip. Fasten the condenser tube to condenser retaining bolt with a tight torque of 9 n.m (80 lb in), reinstall the front air deflector after which lower the vehicle before reconnecting the a/c quick connect fitting at the liquid line. To complete the repair the technician should first install the air cleaner assembly before evacuating and recharging the a/c system and performing leak tests using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) on all component fittings.
