How to replace the A/C Hose liquid line in the HVAC system on 2008 Cadillac STS?

The refrigerant must be recovered before any liquid line replacement in an hvac system. First disconnect the quick connect fitting at the condenser tube while the air cleaner stays on the vehicle. Disconnection of the liquid line needs to occur from both its position on the strut tower retaining clip along with the removal of the Wiper Motor module assembly. The procedures begin with disconnecting both Evaporator core and liquid line quick connect fittings before extracting the liquid line from the vehicle along with its o-ring seals. The first step for installation includes replacing the o-rings on the liquid line before mounting the liquid line onto the vehicle and connecting it to the Evaporator core. After installing the quick connection of the a/c system customers can install the Wiper Motor module assembly before connecting the liquid line to both the strut tower retaining clip along with the condenser tube. After putting back the a/c quick connect fitting you should reinstall the air cleaner. Obtain new o-rings before you install them on the liquid line followed by evacuation and recharging of the refrigerant system using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to test fittings in the component.
