Installation of the auxiliary air conditioning Evaporator rear tube (liquid line) starts by recovering the a/c system followed by vehicle lifting and support. First empty the engine exhaust and the auxiliary rear liquid line nut from the auxiliary Evaporator followed by disconnecting the auxiliary rear liquid line from the auxiliary Evaporator. The technician must loosen the auxiliary rear liquid line at the auxiliary front liquid line fitting before removing the auxiliary rear liquid line from its body retainers. Old o-rings must be discarded from the auxiliary rear liquid line while installing new o-rings onto its surface. Place the auxiliary rear liquid line back onto the vehicle while securing it to the body retainers. Secure the front auxiliary liquid line to the rear auxiliary a/c line while using a liquid line fitting that needs tightening to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Attach the auxiliary rear liquid line to the auxiliary Evaporator then fasten its nut to 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque specification. Detach the engine exhaust followed by lowering the vehicle before recharging its air conditioning system. The completion of the procedure includes leak testing component fittings with the halogen leak detector model j 39400-a.
