• Q: How to replace the evaporator core on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

  A: Replace the Evaporator core by first removing the thermal expansion valve followed by casual removal of the hvac module case screws and retainer clips. First remove both the hvac module wiring harness from the rh temperature actuator then carefully position it away. Secondly disconnect and move the Evaporator core temperature sensor connector. Disassemble the hvac module before separating the Evaporator core and retrieving both components and the thermistor unit from them. Before attaching the thermistor you should lubricate the Evaporator core with oil then apply new seals to it. The hvac module case halves should be installed after the Evaporator core. Place the Evaporator core temperature sensor connector and hvac module wiring harness into the rh temperature actuator installation socket. Anchor the hvac module into position using retainer clips according to the fastener notice before securing the hvac module case with screws that need to be tightened to 1 n.m (9 lb in). Follow up with installing the thermal expansion valve at the end.
