    Q:
How to replace the A/C Hose (LNF) on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle raising must occur after refrigerant recovery as the first step for condenser tube (LNF) replacement. Pull out the condenser tube bolt with the tube from the condenser unit while throwing away its sealing washers. The vehicle should be lowered before the air cleaner assembly is removed. Remove the condenser tube from its frame rail bracket attachment while disconnecting the front part from the rear portion before removing the tube from the front dash position. The thermal expansion valve (TXV) requires the removal of its condenser tube and evaporator hose while getting rid of the seal washer. New sealing washers should go onto condenser tube and evaporator hose fittings before you connect the parts to the txv and tighten its nut to 20 nm (15 lb ft). Tighten the condenser tube nut linking the front to the rear sections at a torque setting of 20 nm while completing the condenser tube attachment to the dash front segment with 10 nm torque intensity. Fasten the condenser tube to the frame rail bracket then the air cleaner assembly can be reinstalled. Next reinstall a new seal washer onto the condenser tube before reattaching the condenser tube with bolt while tightening the bolt to 20 nm (15 lb ft). The system evacuation needs to take place after vehicle lowering and the technician shall conduct a leak test on fittings through j 39400-a halogen leak detector.
