    Q:
How to replace the front brake line on an AWD on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before working on the brake hose of an AWD vehicle you must lift the vehicle and remove its wheel to access the necessary components. Sever the front brake pipe to avoid brake fluid loss or contamination then install the protecting cap. Unbolt the brake hose retainer clip and bolt then disconnect the wire harness clip that connects to the brake hose retainer. Take out the bolt from the brake hose fitting and gaskets. Put both pieces of gasket into the garbage. Put two brake hose gaskets into the brake hose fitting bolt before mounting and attaching the brake hose assembly to the caliper. Secure the fitting bolt at 49 Nm (36 lb ft). Put the brake hose retainer bolt in place and secure it to 10 Nm (89 lb in) torque setting. Then join the wheel speed sensor wire harness clip to the brake hose retainer and secure the front brake hose retainer clip . Attach the front brake pipe at its connection point and torque it to 18 Nm (13 lb ft). Complete the brake process by removing trapped air then adding the tire to the wheel assembly.
