How to replace the Power Steering Hose Return Line on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacing the p/s return line by supporting and lifting the vehicle before taking off the power steering gear heatshield. A drain pan should be placed under the vehicle and Power Steering Hose retainers from the engine frame need to be uninstalled. The maintenance of the power steering return hose begins with removing its connection from the power steering gear before separating it from the Power Steering Pump. The power steering return hose retainers need removal from the frame before extracting the return hose from the car. First establish the power steering return hose attachment points both on the vehicle and Power Steering Pump before installing the system. Follow the instructions of the fastener notice in service precautions by attaching the return hose to the power steering gear while tightening it to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). The power steering return hose retainers should be reinstalled on the frame after connecting the hose to the Power Steering Pump then tightening these bolt connections to 6 nm (53 inch lbs.). Seal the power steering gear heatshield in place then lower the automobile to complete the installation process by draining the power steering system.
