    Q:
How to Replace the Thermostat Housing on LP1 and LY7 Engines on Cadillac CTS? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin the Thermostat Housing replacement on lp1 and ly7 engines by draining some amount of coolant from the system. Start by disconnecting both the Radiator Hose and surge tank inlet hose from the Thermostat Housing. First remove all bolts from the Thermostat Housing before you can take out the thermostat assembly to discard its seals. The Thermostat Housing receiving surfaces require cleaning treatment before new seals are installed for it. Refer the thermostat to its position and fasten it using bolts that require 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque strength. Connect the surge tank inlet hose and Radiator Hose back into the thermostat for the next step. The procedure concludes with filling the cooling system.
