How to change the Back Up Light in the rear compartment on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
To install or replace the back up lamp use these steps. Start with opening the rear compartment then take out the wing nuts from specific studs on the back up lamp holder. Turn the back up lamp sockets counterclockwise on the rear compartment lid applique to remove them before taking out the lamp bulbs from their sockets. Insert back up lamp bulbs into their sockets and install sockets onto the back up lamp by rotating them in a clockwise direction. Fasten the rear compartment lid applique to its position on the container lid and bolt it to the studs using hand-tightener settings. Finally, close the rear compartment.

    Q:
How to service the tail light on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service the tail lamp by first opening the rear compartment and then disconnecting the rear compartment convenience net. First remove the wingnut then pull back the rear compartment trim panel from the tail lamp to expose the tail lamp. After exposing the tail lamp use additional wingnuts to detach it from the rear body panel. Begin by unscrewing the tail lamp socket counterclockwise before removing the bulb from within it. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tail lamp first. The sidemarker lamp socket requires counterclockwise rotation before you can remove its bulb from inside. Installation of the bulbs begins by putting the tail lamp bulb inside its socket first followed by the sidemarker bulb socket. First turn the sidemarker lamp socket clockwise and then screw the tail lamp socket clockwise for installation. The electrical connector powering the tail lamp must be connected next followed by putting back the tail lamp onto the rear body panel with wingnut security. To install the wingnut and convenience net, pull the rear compartment trim panel into position against the tail lamp before securing the wingnut and finishing by locking the convenience net and firmly closing the rear compartment.

    Q:
How to replace the Tail Light on Chevrolet Impala? Posted by Customer
    A:
A successful repair of impala tail lamps starts with opening the rear compartment and removing the wingnut to expose the rear compartment trim panel from the tail lamp. To begin, unscrew the wingnuts which attach the tail lamp to the rear body panel and remove the tail lamp from its mounted position. First disconnect the electrical connector from the tail lamp followed by turning the tail lamp socket counterclockwise to remove both socket and bulb from the connector. Following the same procedure extract the bulb by turning the sidemarker lamp socket counterclockwise. To begin the installation process start by putting the bulb into the tail lamp socket before placing it into the sidemarker lamp socket. Follow installation by turning the side marker lamp socket clockwise and then continue by turning the tail lamp socket. Begin by reconnecting the electrical tail lamp connector. Once complete reposition the tail lamp to the rear body panel and secure with wingnuts. End your work by placing the wingnut into position inside the rear compartment area. Close this area afterwards.
