    Begin front fender splash shield replacement by removing front bumper fascia bolts from the front fender splash shield and the nut from the stud at the rear of the front fender splash shield before proceeding to dislodge the bolt from the front tab of the front fender splash shield at the lower engine compartment side rail and then eliminating the rear fender bolts. You must remove the components at the rear of the front fender splash shield from the fender after they have been detached. Place the front fender splash shield into the wheelhouse opening by positioning it over the stud and apply a nut at the rear section of the front fender splash shield until it reaches 4 Nm (35 lb in) torque. The installation begins by tightening the front bumper fascia bolts of the front fender splash shield at 2 Nm (18 lb in). The second step includes installing the bolt at the fender's rear side and tightening it to 7 Nm (61 lb in). Fasten and tighten the bolt from the front tab of the front fender splash shield at the lower engine compartment side rail to 4.5 Nm (40 lb in).

The front fender splash shield needs to be positioned by placing it through the wheelhouse opening above the stud before installing a nut to the back stud and tightening it to 4 Nm (35 lb in). To install the front fender splash shield, place the bolts at the front bumper fascia first before tightening them to 2 Nm (18 lb in) while the bolts at the rear of the fender require 7 Nm (61 lb in) torque. Attach the lower engine compartment side rail bolt from the front tab of the front fender splash shield while tightening it to 4.5Nm (40lb in).
